Who are we?

We at Spirit of Truth Urban Ministry are diversity in motion. We are a non-denominational church in Lovejoy, New York.  We are powered by the Word of God. We are a "peculiar people" with a divine distinction. We are the salt of the earth. We are the light beacons to the world. We are the children of God. We are Spirit of Truth Urban Ministry.  We incorporated SOTUM under the leadership of the late Bishop R DeBow of Greater Praise Tabernacle Church (Buffalo, New York) in November 2010.  We purchased the old German Evangelical Church and school that had been built in 1883 and more recently had been operating under the name Trinity United Church of Christ on Gold St in Lovejoy.  SOTUM  was  consecrated on December 10, 2010, and on December 23 God called Bishop Debow home.  SOTUM  is a diverse, rapidly growing Apostolic Non-Denominational Church that is lead by Senior Pastor Al Robinson and his wife, Co-Pastor Vivian Robinson. We are also responsible for the "Jesus on Blast" Evangelical Movement in Western New York.

We believe the following:


The Bible:

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3: 16, 2 Peter 1:21)

God:

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30)

Jesus:

We believe in the virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death and the resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. We also believe in Jesus’ promised return in power and glory. Acts 1:9-11, I Thessalonians 4:13-17, Titus 2:1


Sin, Salvation, Redemption, Regeneration:

We believe that in order for lost and sinful people to be saved, one must repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of his or her sins and receive the gift of regeneration of the Holy Ghost.


Holy living:

We believe in holy living that is accomplished in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.


Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; that they who are saved experience the resurrection of life and they who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (John 5:28-29)


Unity

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
